Watchmen Tactical is your trusted source for comprehensive firearms training. Our courses are designed for both new and experienced shooters, emphasizing safety, skill, and responsibility. We offer a range of Maryland-approved training, including the Handgun Qualification License (HQL) Firearms Safety Training for first-time handgun buyers, and the Wear and Carry Training Course for those seeking a Maryland permit (or renewal) to carry a handgun. Additionally, we provide expert instruction in tactical firearms, as well as focused training in pistol, shotgun, and rifle handling.
Led by certified instructors with real-world experience, our programs prioritize practical skills, marksmanship, and situational awareness, ensuring that every student is prepared, proficient, and confident. Whether you’re here for personal protection, recreational shooting, or professional development, we have the course to meet your goals.

If you have a Maryland Medical Marijuana Card, you are ineligible to receive a Handgun Qualification License (HQL) or a Wear & Carry Handgun Permit in the State of Maryland. Please do not register for any of the following courses.

UPCOMING CCW TRAINING DATES.
Maryland Wear & Carry Permit Training Course (Initial or Renewal)
Our next Maryland CCW class is listed below. This 16-hour course (initial) or 8-hour course (renewal) is broken down into 4 days for convenience. There will be 3 virtual days and 1 in-person live fire training day.
- Monday 4/6: 8-10:15pm (virtual)
- Tuesday 4/7: 8-10:15pm (virtual)
- Wednesday 4/8: 8-10:15pm (virtual)
- Saturday 4/11: 9am-6pm (in-person and live fire) [1-3pm for renewals]

Additional requirements:
• Virtual sessions are conducted via Google Meet, so a computer, phone or similar device is required to attend. A web camera or built-in camera is required so that the instructor can verify each student’s presence and participation in class.
